WHO

Not Just Spring Break® (NJSB) is the ONLY app exclusively designed to promote nationwide urban events.  All events are 18+, with some 21+ and 25+.  Upon launch of our black business directory in 2018, we will include a myriad of black-owned business in our respective cities.

Our mission is to encourage and support economic empowerment of urban professionals by featuring social and professional events, organizations, and businesses.  As the premier liaison, we aim to flourish black-owned businesses and foster personal and professional relationships.

WHAT

NJSB events include:  parties, concerts, comedy shows, career fairs, festivals, empowerment conferences, vacation getaways, sorority/fraternity events, health and beauty expos, HBCU homecomings and classics, first-time homebuyer seminars, and other networking opportunities.  

We spotlight black-owned business in our directories.  Industries include:  financial services, hair salons/barbershops, health/wellness, insurance, legal, nightlife, real estate, religious, restaurants, and retail.

WHERE

We service over 20 cities, including:  Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbia, Dallas, Detroit, Greensboro/Winston-Salem, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Nashville, New Orleans, New York City, Oakland/Bay Area, Philadelphia, Raleigh/Durham, and Washington, DC/DMV Area.  We also have featured vacation getaways in Africa, Canada, the Caribbean, and South America.

WHY

Not Just Spring Break® was created for young professionals to learn about happenings in their respective cities.  Conversely, it is a traveling tool for users to know what is going on in other cities.  As avid travelers, we encourage other urban professionals to get up and go out!


The Not Just Spring Break® (NJSB) mission is to encourage and support economic empowerment of urban professionals by featuring social and professional events, organizations, and businesses.  As the premier liaison, the mobile application aims to flourish black-owned businesses and foster personal and professional relationships.  NJSB provides comprehensive information about local events, services, and businesses in over 25 cities.  The credibility of NJSB is imperative, and in order to maintain the integrity of the business, please adhere to the criteria below.

Directory Inclusion Policy

Each record must include the following information:

  • Legal Company Name
  • Contact Information & Title of Company Representative
  • Brief description of Services
  • Street and mailing address
  • Website
  • Hours of Operation

Directory Exclusion Policy

  • Businesses without an established website, address, and phone number.
  • Businesses/professionals without legal business licenses.
  • National independent contractors (such as ITWorks, MaryKay, Avon representatives)
  • Service providers, organizations or private businesses that misrepresent themselves and/or services.
  • Organizations currently under the investigation of the Better Business Bureau or any municipal office of consumer affairs.

To ensure NJSB meets the ever-changing needs of the urban professional community, policies are reviewed continuously.  Business representatives will be notified of any changes to directory submissions prior to removal.
